Parallel OptQuestelpt
OptTek Systems Inc. and Scientific Computing Associates Inc. have released a parallel version of
OptQuest Callable Library. The new software, Parallel OptQuest, is able to identify globally
optimum solutions very quickly, which provides a significant advantage as the size of problems
expands. One of the critical issues in optimization is the complexity of the problems where
solution time can increase exponentially based on the number of variables. Scientific Computing
Associates' Paradise software enables Parallel OptQuest to run on multiple machines giving it the
ability to solve very complex problems quickly, and reliably.
Typical applications of Parallel OptQuest include financial analytics, portfolio optimization, decision
support systems, life sciences, chemistry, contact center operations, and supply chain management.
