E-Business Integration: Metaserver, Inc.
Metaserver's response to the demands of a complex, distributed, component-based environment is what it calls its Net Router. Metaserver provides a packaged product that seamlessly integrates the Internet with the organization to focus on the business processes that define its interactions with various entities and to create, maintain, and modify them relatively quickly and easily in response to rapidly changing customer and business needs. The alternative is to build or outsource these Web application one at a time.
The NetRouter allows the organization to plug into new and
existing systems using a wide variety of technologies such as Java, C++, Visual Basic, MQ, CICS,
COM, EJB, CORBA, XML and SQL. Further, it can support an assortment of front-end devices including thin
clients -- such as Web Browsers, PDAs, WAP phones, XML applications -- as well as fat clients, such as
Visual Basic/Java applications runiing on personal computers and workstations. It is extensible to support
new technologies that have yet to emerge.
